Brighton Beach & Melb Central!

Today was fun!! I met up with effie.. We went to Brighton Beach!!

That beach is really scenic!! And it's so much bigger than St Kildas Beach.

Fluffy clouds hanging in the sky, flocks of sea gulls waddling around, leaving tiny foot prints on the sand, kids eating ice-creams, adults playing water sports.. how marvellous to spend a weekend like this!! Thanks effie for bringing me there. We had a mini sushi picnic. Lol. But we were eating secretly, not that it's not allowed to eat there.. but we were more afraid that the seagulls might attack our dinner! Hahaha!

A stretch of squarish houses dotted along the beach. Effie told me those are called bath houses. It will cost you a bomb to buy a unit, cos it's suppose to be some kinda touristy attraction. When I got 'home', my housemates n I were having some casual conversation. N we happened to talk about bath houses..Vic told me one unit costs like 20000 bucks!!! Can you believe it.. And as you can see, it was breezy and chilly.. had our hair all messed up. haha

After that, we headed to Melbourne Central. We shared a 4-scoops cup ice-cream at the grass patch area in front of Victoria Library. The weather was so windy and cold.. we were practically shivering while eating. Crazy right? Hahaha. The ice cream is really nice.. esp the mango sorbet.

A group of people lying comfortably, watching some sort of orchestra playing on the big tv screen. And we managed to get ourselves seats at the front row.. and it felt so relaxing! The ambience was great!!

That's it! Haha.

Anyway, yesterday I was at Jessica's place, watching some documentries about people eating dog meats. And we saw those guys chopping the dogs into pieces.We thought it was damn gross.. But guess what? My housemate, Bill told me he ate dog meat before and it was tasty! Omg... omg....

Lucky Day!

I saw the shuai angmo today! He was sitting right in front of me in the train this morning.

Lucky right? Haha. But I realise his friend is shuaier.. lol. But they are not in my course la. I think they are doing film n television or sth.

Nvm la. Eye candies only. Anyway, I think I'll get to see alot more angmos when school starts. Hahahha.

And I made 2 more friends today. I gotta know 2 indonesians: jessica n joey. All 'j's hahaha.

Btw, Jessica brought me to south yarra, which is one station away from my school. N she invited me to her apartment. I think I spent like 1 or 2 hours at her place. It's really nice and cosy there, but it's ex la.

Hahaha. BORED! Spent the whole day in front of my laptop.

You know what Melb's movie tix's damn ex!!!! 16 bucks per tix. Crazy or what.

N taking taxi is definitely a no no. Cos a half an hour ride may cost you 50 bucks! It's about 3 or 4 times that of sg's, and yet it's funny how we always complain about the high cab fare.. when in fact, it's already relatively cheap.

Food and transportation costs are so much higher here -.- So no choice, gotta learn to cook. Hahaha..

Omg. Uni timetable's so different.
It's self-allocation system, meaning I have to access the uni network to fix my own timetable.
And everything has gotta hurry. Cos everyone's snatching for their ideal time slots. If a particular slot is full, you've gotta pick the next one, which might be super early. Or worse still, in another faraway campus. I almost had to! But luckily I went to check back the slots and someone has given up his/her slot. Thank god. If not, I have to travel all the way to lilydale. Oh, forgot to tell u, this year I will only be attending classes at one campus. Hurray.. But I have 2 classes at 8.30 am in the morning -.-
But no classes on tuesdays though. Haha.

Finally finally!!!

I finally have internet access!!

After like one week without it, I kinda have withdrawal symptoms. I got so excited after I knew internet was set up in my 'house'. Haha.

Yup. 'House'.. cos it's not mine. I rented a room from someone else. Now i have like 3 other housemates, including the landlord's son. They're really nice ppl. I kinda like this place.

Well, my sis just went back to sg just now. I'm so bored now.

The past days were great. We did lotsa stuff.. looking for an accommodation, shopping for groceries, cooking, shopping, winery and zoo tours. It's quite fun here, except for the fact that shops close really early here.. like 5 pm?? Thats why me n my sis likes st kilda alot. Cos it's v lively there, even at night. A whole stretch of restaurants, pastry shops, clubs etc..

Btw,I think I need to share this.. I repacked my luggage at Changi Airport! Cos my luggage exceeded like 20 kg. And 1 kg costs 30 bucks!! Omg.If I didn't repack, I'd have to pay 600 bucks for that!! How crazy right. But luckily, I manage to lighten my luggage, n I don't have to pay a single cent.
